As I sit here with my family on a rainy Monday we decided to watch "Son of God." If you have seen this movie then you know it is about Jesus and the parables he told. There is one parable that really stuck out to me and melted my heart. As a side note: For me to have my heart melt and move me to tears takes a lot. I am not a very emotional person to the point where I shed tears. But the parable that I am talking about is the one where Jesus says, "He with out sin, cast the first stone." There are at least two reasons why this touched me so much.
The first reason is that Jesus, could have cast the first stone, but didn't. You probably are thinking the obvious on why Jesus did not cast the first stone. The obvious reason is that he was trying to teach and show a lesson right now about love and compassion. That is true, he was teaching that. But look at what Jesus said, "He who is without sin." As we all know Jesus is without sin so he could have casted the first stone. But as I stated before he did not because of the lesson he was wanting to teach the Religious leaders. If you have seen the movie then you know that he does not and drops the stone. When he drops the stone this is the part that just hit home with me.
So, how did this hit home for me? I am glad you asked. If you have read my other blog posts then you know I have struggled with finding my place and having a hard time accepted love from others and from God. (I could talk more about this but that is another blog post). Okay, back to the movie and the parable that I am talking about. So, after Jesus dropped his stone he went to the woman who was in question and about to be stoned and showed her love and compassion. Here is what moved me. You know how you see romantic movies and you see the couple who are in love and you sit there and think I wish had a man in my life treat me that way. If you know what I am talking about then you can understand the scene of this movie. He goes to her in such a gentle and loving manner that it is like the romantic movie was just talking about. It was at that moment that I realized that is what Jesus does to me (us) when we come to him with everything we have. It was at that moment that I realized that Jesus loves me and takes me into his warm embrace and kisses me on the forehead and tells me that it will be okay.
I wrote this post to share a bit of my life and to let others know that God is real and that no matter what you are going through Jesus is always there with arms wide open and ready to love you no matter what you have done. If you want Jesus and God in your life all you have to do is pray and ask him to come into your life and be the Lord of all. God will be there just like Jesus to love you and give you that movie kind of love you have always dreamed of. Once, you have prayed the prayer God will say, "You are forgiven and go and sin no more."
lf this post has helped you then leave a comment and share this on Facebook, Google+ or any other social media feel free. If you want to share this with your bible study group then please contact me and let me know, so I know that this has touched your life. As always I am here if you need someone to talk too. May God love you and give you grace and mercy.

WORDsearch Bible Software
I have found a Bible Software app that is amazing. It can go on your phone plus the computer and you can plan lessons and sermons in it as well. The software is WordSearch Bible. They have a free version called WordSearch Basic and they have the paid version as well. The company is a part of LifeWay. Also, they include free training on how to use the software as well. The paid version of the app is $49.95. While I have not bought the new version yet it looks really nice.
However, if you are able to afford LOGOS, which is super expensive, then that is the way to go. I cannot afford that nor justify spending that kind of money on software for my casual use. Those of you who are in Bible school and are on a budget then WordSearch is the way to go. One thing I need to mention is that you will have to purchase additional Bibles that are not available in the free book section on the website. WordSearch also does interest-free payment plans on all items that are, I think, $150 or more. I also need to say that the training they provide are live training sessions and from actual pastors and experts that use the software on a daily basis.
I am not affiliated with the company nor am I getting paid to tell you about the software I am an everyday person who likes a product and thought I would share a really good product to help in your walk with the Lord.

If the Shoe Fits, Wear It!
The title of this post says it all. But let us look at it a bit deeper in this post.
Imagine this you are out and about and having a good time with your girlfriends. You had lunch at that quiet little bistro on the corner and someone mentions let us go shopping so you agree to make an afternoon of it. While out you spot the perfect pair of shoes that will go with your favorite outfit. So, what do you do? Oh! Did I mention the shoes are on sale! Of course, you go in and look at them and ask the sales clerk to get them in your size. The clerk brings them to you and they fit but here is the sad part and that is they are too narrow in the toes. You think to yourself that is hurts a little bit but I know I have had shoes do this to me before and once I get home and wear them they break in and are just fine. Or, do you ask the sales clerk to bring you a bigger size and then they are too big and then you look like a clown wearing them. You opt for the size that fits but needs to be broke in. You get home and wear them and after awhile you find out that they are the most comfortable shoe you have worn and are glad you made the purchase.
The above scenario is an example of life is as a Christian. As a Christian, in my opinion, you are to help people grow and show them things that they need to change. When someone who comes up to you and tells you something you do not like we need to look at what they say and do a soul and heart search on if that person is correct in what they are saying. If what they said is true then wear it and if it is uncomfortable then break it in. This could be God's way of correcting you and telling you that is not the way to go or live your life. The truth hurts just like a new pair of shoes hurt when you wear them. But does that stop you from wearing them or being friends with that person who told you something you did not like? No, you stay friends with that person because you know that they are doing it out of love and want what is best for you. Not to hurt you.
How do you make what hurts you, comfortable?
Glad you asked. You could go online Google how to make shoes comfortable and try different ways that may or may not work. Or, you could try the true method of what you have done in the past then go to Google. But, what about if it is not about the shoes it is about what the person said to me that is uncomfortable? We could look at how Ballerina's break in their Pointe shoes to make them comfortable and that is a long drawn out process. This video is a long video but it shows how they break in their shoes to make them comfortable.
https://youtu.be/IKatBMl7mrE
As you can tell it is a long process for them to make these shoes comfortable. They want comfortable shoes because all their weight is on their toes. Once they make the shoes comfy for them then they are able to perform and do the work and tasks they are required to do. Wondering why I brought in the pointe shoe example well that is easy because we as Christians have work to do to when someone tells us the truth and it is uncomfortable.
What work do we need to do to break in the truth?
Well, I have the answer to that as well. Prayer and the Bible! That is the answer. You say that is the easy answer you were thinking of a long drawn out answer you say. Sorry to tell you that is the short and easy answer. However, when you go to God and help you with what you dealing with it is not going to be easy and short. When God works on you, it is a long drawn out process and there will be much more pain than what you were hoping for. But, when you are done You will fit into the plan God has for you.
When the shoe fits wear it!
So, you finally made your shoes comfortable. GREAT! God finally has you where he needs you and the breaking in process did not break you but made you stronger and better. It also allowed God to position you for your breakthrough and the blessing God wanted you to have a long time ago. You are now able to wear the shoes without pain and you are now able to do and go where God wants you to go. Then you think to yourself why did I wait so long to wear the shoes and go through the breaking in process. Then you remind yourself that process hurts and I do not want to go through it. As humans we do not like change that much nor do we like to go through the process when we are apart of an instant society.
So, leave a comment below. Tell me what you think. Do you like change?

1 John 2:15-17
15) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16) For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17) And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Galatians 2:20-21
20) I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21) I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

James 5:13-16
King James Version
13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
English Standard Version
13Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.15And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. James 1:1-5
King James Version
1. James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
English Standard Version
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings.
2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

2 Chronicles 7:11-14
Verse 14 is the Key verse for today
English Standard Version
11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king’s house. All that Solomon had planned to do in the house of the Lord and in his own house he successfully accomplished.
12) Then the Lord appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice.
13) When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people,
14) if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
King James Version
11) Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the Lord, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.
12) And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13) If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Galatians 2:19-21
King James Version
19) For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21) I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
English Standard Version
19) For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God.
20) I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

King James Version
1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

11And the vision of all this has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed. When men give it to one who can read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.” 12And when they give the book to one who cannot read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot read.”
13And the Lord said:
“Because this people draw near with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
while their hearts are far from me,
and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men,
14therefore, behold, I will again
do wonderful things with this people,
with wonder upon wonder;
and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”
15Ah, you who hide deep from the Lord your counsel,
whose deeds are in the dark,
and who say, “Who sees us? Who knows us?”
16 You turn things upside down!
Shall the potter be regarded as the clay,
that the thing made should say of its maker,
“He did not make me”;
or the thing formed say of him who formed it,
“He has no understanding”?
17 Is it not yet a very little while
until Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field shall be regarded as a forest?
18In that day the deaf shall hear
the words of a book,
and out of their gloom and darkness
the eyes of the blind shall see.
19 The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the Lord,
and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.
20 For the ruthless shall come to nothing
and the scoffer cease,
and all who watch to do evil shall be cut off,
21 who by a word make a man out to be an offender,
and lay a snare for him who reproves in the gate,
and with an empty plea turn aside him who is in the right.
